Description	Another 'first' for the Society in 2010, journalist Piers Bizony will make his first visit to the Society. He has written a number of books and articles, and has worked as producer on TV documentaries. Piers wrote the definitive book on 2001 : A Space Odyssey, ‘Filming the Future’ that received many plaudits. He is also the author of ‘The Rivers of Mars’ searching for the cosmic origins of life; ‘Island in the Sky’ on the building the International Space Station and ’40 years On : The Story of Apollo 11’. His most recent publication is ‘How To Build Your Own Spaceship : The Science of Personal Space Travel’ – and this forms the basis of tonight’s talk.
